Many people ask if we have an online catalogue to review and order from. The simple answer is no as it is too difficult to post every product we carry — we just have so much to offer! Our store is unique and unusual — you won’t find our kind of product mix just anywhere… from textbooks and workbooks, to Bibles and gifts, and then on to art, office and school supplies … we have it all! Come and visit — if we don’t have it, we’ll try to order it for you.

From time to time, I will add products to this page, change it up and highlight my faves! Click on the pics to enlarge.

I would be remiss (and I have been!!), if I did not highlight our ‘Squibbs Honey‘.  A few years ago, just before our 90th anniversary, Gord Squibb, great-grandson of our founder, Arthur, mentioned that he and his kids were selling organic honey.  The boys, Gabe & Andrew, set up a little table during our event and a new chapter for us began!  We have regularly been selling their honey and it has been a ‘sweet success’ (pun intended)!  In fact, it has become part of my own nightly ritual of cutting up a whole lemon, adding a spoonful of yummy honey and then adding boiling water to make my lemon-honey tea.  I have it nightly with my dinner and then until bed, adding hot water throughout the night and then adding a bit more in the morning to the remaining lemon to drink.  Very soothing!

Our biggest sellers in the gift lines this year are Globes from Replogle. We are getting calls from all over the GTA and even from overseas for these wonderful pieces which are made in the USA by hand. Prices begin from about $45 for 9 – 12″ globes but we have some that are under $20! We can easily custom order almost any globe in the Replogle line and have them in stock within the week. To peruse their line, check out:

Some other items that we always keep in stock are journals, pens and fountain pens. You wouldn’t think that in this electronic age that a fountain pen would be still selling but they are! We keep a good selection in stock of the various styles of books and pens starting at about $8. Here is a small sample… our selection changes regularly!

One of our biggest sellers is Bibles. We carry a selection, mainly King James Version, ranging in price from $9 to $75 but we are able to order in almost anything you like. Just let us know which translation, price point, size of type and cover you are looking for and if we don’t have something to suit your needs, we’ll get it in for you, usually within a week. And we keep a nice selection of children’s Bibles too!

Communion & Confirmation / Baptisms & Christenings   ….  We keep gift ideas and cards year-round for your events.  We have a wide selection of picture frames, unique items and Rosaries.  Because of our relationship with suppliers, we can often bring in custom orders within 24 to 72 hours depending on availability.  Our personalized service is our strength and we can make suggestions based on price points or interest.

And of course, the 2020 favourite past-time was doing puzzles, so we have been restocking on a regular basis from our various suppliers.  One supplier that you are able to view options on is Eurographics, found here:

P.S….  We are also a “commercial and social stationers” which means we do business cards, letterhead, rubber stamps, seal.  Please call to discuss options, etc.  All orders are pre-paid as well.

Other gift companies we order from regularly are below but there are many others too!

      Hi Catherine,
I don’t have any at this point and they look like they are available, so we can order. But they would take about 2 – 3 weeks to arrive from the US based from past experience.

      Give me a call to discuss… 416-241-5801.

  2. Hello,

Just reaching out to see if you might be able to support. We are a registered charity focused on youth development in Ontario. This year we’re supporting grade 7-12 students in Fort William First Nation in Thunder Bay ON with back to school supplies. Specifically, they have 150 students there in which they normally provide school supplies to, but haven’t been able to concentrate on this due to the pandemic, so we’re hoping to fill the gap.

Any chance you might be able to support with donating school supplies. You can see in the flyer on our website ( what the community has requested per school bag, basic supplies. We’re trying to get to 150 bags so we’ll take any help we can get.

We’d be happy to recognize your store on social media as well and provide a charitable tax receipt.

If there’s any help you can provide, that would be tremendous. Also, no worries if you’re not able to support, we know this has likely been a tough year for many retailers.

Thank you kindly in advance and happy to answer any questions you may have or provide additional info.

      Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately, we had a serious flood in our basement where a lot of our stock was and we are still in process of restocking. We’ve given away so much over the past few years that we don’t have a lot of ‘extra’ stock around. I do have some packages of good pencils that I could donate and I might find a few other items but not in the quantity you need.

I’ll need a formal letter on letterhead in order to proceed.

I have been looking everywhere for pads of good to medium quality decorative lined paper for long letter writing. I can’t find what I’m looking for anywhere and with the pandemic I can’t really go out and brouse stores any more. I’m looking for full pads for multi page letters, preferably with cute decorative elements on them in A5 size or if that’s not available regular 8 x 11 size.

Do you have anything like this at all? I am at my wits end trying to find something that suits my needs. My standard letters are around 10 to 15, A5 size pages long so sets do not work for me and I have plenty of cute envelopes already. It does need to be lined though. I have so far been using spiral bound notebooks and hand cutting the one side off but this is messy and I don’t cut so straight

Sorry for delay in responding. That’s a hard thing to find now. We don’t have anything like that anymore in stock. If I do see something, I’ll advise.

Hi there, i am looking for a genuine leather bound red letter, reference version of the KJV of the Bible that won’t break the bank! It’s kinda specific i know but thought i’d give it a shot anyway…

Thank you for reading my inquiry,

      Hi Tod,
Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. Genuine leather bibles are usually around $120 – $150 depending on size and availability. It’s been a struggle to get certain bibles in due to shipping issues.

But we do carry some lovely bibles, both study and giant print with covers that feel and look like leather. All are under $75. Please call if interested… 416-241-5801.

      Best of the season,
      Suri @ Squibb’s
